President Joe Biden Mistakenly Says He’s The ‘First Black Woman’ To Serve With A Black President
In his latest gaffe, Biden made a verbal slip during an interview on Philadelphia’s WURD radio station as part of an Independence Day media blitz, referring to himself as the “first black woman to serve with a black president.”
The 81-year-old president was trying to highlight his historical role as Barack Obama‘s vice president and Kamala Harris‘ selection as his own vice president, but his words came out jumbled.
“By the way, I’m proud to be, as I said, the first vice president, first black woman, to serve with a black president,” Biden told host Andrea Lawful-Sanders, per the New York Post.

Joe Biden Says He Never Knew A Catholic Could Become President Until John F. Kennedy
In addition to mistakenly calling himself the “first black woman to serve with a black president,” Biden made several other errors as he attempted to reassure voters following his poor debate performance.
He bizarrely claimed he was the “first president elected statewide in Delaware when I was a kid.”
Biden also attempted to relate to the black struggle for representation by reflecting on his own belief that Catholics could never be president before John F. Kennedy’s election over 60 years ago.
The president spoke about Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Supreme Court nomination and how much it must have meant to “a young girl who is in school and having trouble.”

He then drew a personal parallel to John F. Kennedy’s election, saying, “I looked at John Kennedy and said, ‘Well, he โ John โ he got elected. Why can’t I get elected?'”
Biden claimed that such figures offer inspiration to those facing struggles, adding: “People need things to look up to.”

Joe Biden Campaign Defends President Amid Scrutiny Of His Mental Acuity
President Biden’s recent flurry of verbal mistakes has intensified scrutiny of his age, especially after his poor debate performance against former President Trump last week.
Despite this, Ammar Moussa, a spokesperson for Biden’s re-election campaign, took to X to condemn the media for focusing on Biden’s errors.
Moussa called the media’s criticism “absurd,” arguing that such gaffes are part of Biden’s long-standing speaking style.
He stated, “It was abundantly clear what the president meant. This would be considered a perfectly normal speech pattern for any other person in America, and has certainly been normal for Joe Biden for his entire career.”
Other supporters echoed this sentiment, with one commenter saying, “Let Biden do his thing on local radio and news. He gaffes nothing new they will keep finding random things to complain about.”
“The real story should be why a candidate who talks nonsense about sharks, batteries, and boats is still in the race. This should be the focus until he drops out,” another person said about Trump.

Gold Star Parent Slams Joe Biden’s Comments About U.S. Troops Not Dying During His Presidency
During his presidential debate with Trump, Biden said he was the only president “this decade” with no troops “dying anywhere in the world.”
The president’s blunder has since earned the ire of relatives of the 13 U.S. service members killed in Afghanistan during his controversial 2021 withdrawal as they expressed their anger and dismay.
While speaking to the New York Post, Mark Schmitz, whose son Marine Cpl. Jared Schmitz was one of the 13 U.S. troops killed in the Kabul attack, said that President Biden’s debate comments deeply hurt the Gold Star families.
“My phone blew up for probably 20 minutes after that came through, and everybody was just in utter shock. And my poor kids were in the next room โ let’s just say I ultimately ended up having to apologize to them for my language,” he expressed. “It took all self-restraint not to put my fist right through my TV.”
He added: “I was beyond ticked off, disrespected. That’s all we’ve ever gotten out of this president.”
