Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s daughter, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, has taken legal steps to drop her father’s surname amid the nasty legal battle between both her parents.
Shiloh, who just turned 18, made the shocking move after two of her siblings, Zahara and Vivienne, chose to stop using their father’s name. However, according to legal documents obtained by The Blast, Shiloh is the first to attempt to make it official.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been locked in a legal war over the sale of the actress’ shares in their French winery, Château Miraval.

Brad Pitt’s Daughter Shiloh Is Dropping His Last Name Officially
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Shiloh is no longer interested in going by “Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt” and instead wants to be referred to as just “Shiloh Nouvel Jolie.”
In the legal document, Shiloh ticked “personal” as her reason for wanting to drop her father’s last name.
Pitt and Jolie’s daughter marked her 18th birthday this month—a milestone that also represents a crucial turning point for the actor, who allegedly saw this as an opportunity to mend their fractured relationship.
The Hollywood star has had a very fractured relationship with his kids since his split from their mother, Jolie.

Brad Pitt Is Looking To Form A Bond With Shiloh As She Turns 18
Earlier reports from DailyMail indicated that an insider claimed that the “Maleficient” actress tried to undermine Pitt’s bond with the kids since their contentious split in 2016 and has ensured that the children had “limited involvement” with their father.
“It is still that way with the underage ones, but with Shiloh that is no longer Angie’s choice,” the insider shared. “If Shiloh chooses to have limited contact with her dad, that is her decision.”
Now, a source close to Pitt revealed to the news outlet the actor is hopeful about rebuilding his connection with Shiloh now that she is legally an adult and can make her own choices regarding their relationship.

“Now that Shiloh is 18, she can make up her own mind as far as how she wants her relationship with her father to develop,” the insider explained.

‘Keeping Shiloh From Brad Is No Longer An Option For Angelina’
The tipster also noted that the “Fight Club” star would continue to love Shiloh “unconditionally,” regardless of her choice. “‘The difference between now and [a few] days ago [before her birthday] is that Shiloh makes the choice,” they emphasized.
The source added that Pitt can now reach out to his daughter without facing repercussions from Jolie. “Everyone is confident that they will, in time, rekindle the bond that was broken by the divorce,” they added. “Keeping Shiloh from Brad is no longer an option for Angelina.”
Pitt has faced a strained dynamic with the six children Maddox, 22; Pax, 20; Zahara, 19; Shiloh, 18; and twins Vivienne and Knox, 15, he shares with ex-wife Jolie, since their contentious split in 2016.
