In the court documents filed by Lopez in person at the L.A. County Superior Court on Tuesday, the entertainer finally confirmed the exact date she and her estranged husband separated.

Lopez stated that she and Affleck went their separate ways on April 26, 2024. Prior to this month, rumors of marital woes between the former couple had already begun swirling, especially after they hadn’t been seen together in public for a long period of time.

Despite the fact that Affleck and Lopez have both gone through a divorce in the past, the actors seemingly opted not to get a prenuptial agreement before tying the knot in 2022.

According to TMZ, Lopez’s divorce filing did not mention a prenup, and sources also confirmed to the news outlet that the pair never got one.

This means that Lopez, who is worth $400 million, and Affleck, who is worth $150 million, might fight over the money they made from their various projects during their short marriage.

Lopez, for instance, worked on “Shotgun Wedding,” ‘This Is Me … Now,” “The Mother,” and “Atlas” while they were married. Affleck, on the other hand, starred in films such as “Air” and “Hypnotic” and produced “The Instigators.”

In her filing, Lopez also waived her right to request spousal support and asked that the judge deny Affleck such support.

Since the couple never had any kids together, there should be no argument over child support.

The “Gone Girl” star acquired a stunning “bachelor pad” property for $20.5 million in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles.

The new mansion boasts five bedrooms and six bathrooms, breakfast and dining areas, a separate family room, a den, walk-in closets, a media room, a powder room, and a guest house.

Prior to his solo home purchase, the Oscar winner had been staying at a $100-a-month Brentwood home near his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, after moving out of his and Lopez’s marital home, which they acquired for $60 million in May last year.

According to a report, Affleck insulted Lopez by buying his new mansion on July 24th, the singer’s 55th birthday.

A source told RadarOnline at the time, “Ben’s decision to move into his own home is the final insult. JLO had been holding onto hope that there could be a reconciliation if they were to spend some time apart, but this is like a stab in the heart.”

Lopez is now searching for a new home in Los Angeles and has already toured some mansions, including one that costs $68 million.
