Rosie O’Donnell’s Daughter Begs Court For Furlough To Enter AODA Treatment

Entertainment veteran Rosie O’Donnell cannot catch a break when it comes to her troubled daughter, Chelsea O’Donnell.

The TV producer’s daughter has been in and out of trouble with the law for years over her drug addictions. However, her problems significantly skyrocketed in recent months with three drug arrests.

Things are not looking up for Rosie O’Donnell’s infamous child, who requested a furlough at a hearing on Wednesday, December 3. Following the news, Chelsea’s famous mom reflected on their past.

According to new reports, Chelsea asked for a furlough from the $7,500 cash bail set by a Wisconsin judge following her third arrest in two months. Her lawyer claimed she needed the exemption to go for “AODA treatment,” which could begin as early as December 9.

Chelsea’s lawyer wrote: “Counsel has spoken with Ms. O’Donnell about the specific details of the treatment obtained for Ms. O’Donnell and would like to direct the court regarding the specific details of the treatment out of respect for the personal information involved.”

However, the plea did not move the judge, who denied the request the following day. The comedian’s daughter has been behind bars since her third arrest on November 18.

In Touch shared that she was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor resisting an officer, and several other charges.

Chelsea’s last run-in with cops saw them pulling over the car she was a passenger in. They found a smoking device with meth residue on it, but the entertainer’s daughter denied having any drugs on her during questioning.

She reportedly told one officer about her plans to enter an intensive outpatient program the following week. She stressed that she wanted to get off drugs; however, a strip search at the jail revealed a bottle of meth and various pills on her person.

Chelsea’s second arrest occurred on October 11 during a traffic stop. Authorities found meth and pills on her, leading to another trip behind bars, but she was released in early November. As for her first run-in with cops, it happened on September 10 after she called police to her home.

The dispatch heard an argument when Chelsea called and sent officers to investigate her and her boyfriend Jacob Nelund’s home. However, what they found was a terrifying scene of rooms filled with garbage, drugs, and needles. In the report, one officer wrote:

“The inside of the house was disgusting; throughout the house, I saw rotten food, dirty moldy dishes, milk that stunk so bad it almost made me puke.”

Another recalled seeing several “used hypodermic needles” that were stained with blood. A third noted the situation worsened with Chelsea’s 11-month-old son Atlas living in the unsafe environment.

The officer stated they found the boy in a bedroom with “a meth pipe, a gem bag with methamphetamine inside, a marijuana grinder, and another container with marijuana shake in it.”

Following news of Chelsea’s furlough denial, her mom reflected on her issues in an Instagram post. On Thursday, Rosie shared a throwback of her posing with her troubled daughter and her younger child, Dakota.

The trio looked happy as they smiled for the camera, seated side by side, a moment the mother seemed to miss. “Before it began #changes,” she captioned the post. The Blast shared that Rosie similarly went down memory lane in October after Chelsea was arrested for child neglect and drug possession.

The TV producer shared an old picture of her daughter with a baby and captioned it, “Chelsea is in the news today – this is a photo from a better time – here is the family’s comment.” Rosie continued:

“Sadly, this is not new for our family — Chelsea has struggled with drug addiction for a decade — we are all hopeful she will find her way out of this deadly disease.”

Earlier this month, The Blast reported that Rosie was forced to address Chelsea’s third arrest following an inquiry into their relationship. She shared a screenshot of a news outlet’s questions about her daughter’s mounting drug charges and captioned it:

“So yes, this is true – after being bailed out by her birth mother – Chelsea was arrested again – and is facing many charges related to her drug addiction.”

Rosie hoped that Chelsea would be “able to get the help she needs to turn her life around.” The post sparked more questions from fans, with one IG user wondering if the mom was doing her best to help her child. In response, the Hollywood veteran declared: “U have no idea.”
