According to the indictment, Diddy used his business empire to “create a criminal enterprise,” where his associates allegedly engaged in or attempted to engage in “sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice.”

Prosecutors also detailed Diddy’s alleged “persistent and pervasive pattern of abuse,” claiming that his crimes included “verbal, emotional, sexual and physical abuse.” They accused him of “striking, punching, dragging, throwing objects at and kicking” women.

The allegations extended to Diddy’s employees, who were accused of helping to facilitate and cover up his abuse. The gut-wrenching details continued with claims of women being manipulated into engaging in “extended sex acts with male commercial sex workers.”

U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Damian Williams told reporters that prosecutors would ask Diddy to remain in prison until his trial. However, the record producer has no plans to be detained.

Diddy’s team reportedly filed an impressive offer of $50 million to secure his release on bail until his trial. The documents revealed he listed his mansion on Miami’s Star Island as collateral, a property worth $48 million.

The remaining $2 million would be covered by his mother’s Miami home. The offer did not end there, as Diddy expressed his willingness to cooperate with prosecutors by limiting his travel to Florida, New York, and New Jersey.

According to Diddy, he had been preparing for his arrest and paid off the remaining $18 million debt on his Miami home so he could list it as collateral. In May, he also informed the feds about his plans to sell his private jet.

Unfortunately, Diddy could not find a buyer for the plane but reassured authorities that he would park it in Los Angeles while he stayed in Florida. Per his documents, the rapper also surrendered his passport to his attorneys in April, along with those of his mother and children.

While Diddy seemed willing to cooperate and pay a hefty fine to secure his release on bail, prosecutors want him to remain behind bars. The Blast reported that they regarded him as a flight risk and might oppose his eligibility for bail.

The Blast reported that U.S. Attorney Damian Williams expressed the prosecutors’ desire for Diddy to remain in custody to the press, saying: “We will be seeking detention. There is a presumption of detention in a case like this, and we think that’s warranted.”

He defended their stance against Diddy’s release on bail, citing the numerous weapons seized during raids on Diddy’s homes. The list included AR-15s, which were discovered in the rapper’s bedroom closet.

When concerns for Diddy’s safety behind bars were raised, with reference to Jeffrey Epstein’s suicide, Williams dismissed the possibility. “We are concerned with anyone’s safety whenever they are detained prior to trial. It’s part of our obligation,” he stressed.

Will Diddy’s hefty bail offer be accepted, or will prosecutors prevail in their motion to detain him?
