“Justin was out to dinner with friends and there were cop cars stationed outside the restaurant, like there are most nights. [He] left at 12:30AM and was pulled over as soon as he left. Nobody was hurt and there was no drama at the scene,” a source said of the arrest, per the Daily Mail.
The Singer Was Charged To Court And Cited
Timberlake was charged to court on Tuesday on one count of DWI and was subsequently released without bond. He was also cited for not observing a stop sign and for failure to stay in his lane. He would be required to pay fines for the citation as determined by the law in New York State.
Meanwhile, the singer’s refusal to take the breathalyzer test has caused his driving privileges in the state to be suspended. This means that Timberlake would have to be driven by someone other than himself for the foreseeable future.
The court date to hear the charge is July 26. Timberlake is represented by criminal defense lawyer Ed Burke. In the long run, a possible punishment includes the singer being ordered to participate in mandatory community service or taking driving or substance abuse courses.
