Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds Double Down On Attempt To Gag Justin Baldoni And Prevent Website Launch

The move comes after reports that Baldoni plans to launch a website where he would post receipts of unedited footage from “It End With Us” after Lively accused him of sexually harassing her while filming.

Justin Baldoni’s lawyers have already released raw footage from the domestic abuse movie, which has sparked an intense debate about Blake Lively’s allegations.

Lively and her husband Reynolds have doubled down on their bid to silence Baldoni’s attorneys led by Bryan Freedman.

According to the Daily Mail, the couple’s attorney, Michael Gottlieb, wrote a letter to the judge presiding over the case on Monday.

In it, he requested an urgent conference to highlight their “growing concerns” over what they described as Freedman’s alleged “extrajudicial misconduct.”

The letter decried reports of a new website Baldoni’s camp is reportedly creating to “strategically release selected documents and communications,” slamming it as a ploy to “influence proceedings and the public perception” of the case with “inflammatory content.”

“He further has made it clear that his priority is to ‘torpedo Blake Lively’s career for good’ by, among other things, creating a website to release strategically selected documents and communications between Ms. Lively and Mr. Baldoni,” Gottlieb wrote in the letter.

“The planned website will release what Mr. Freedman self-servingly proclaims will be ‘full unedited WhatsApp, text and email exchanges between Lively and Baldoni,’ although neither the media nor public will have any way of knowing which communications Mr. Freedman has selectively omitted from disclosure, including communications that Mr. Freedman and his clients may have deleted,” they continued.

Lively and Reynolds’s attorney went on to state that should Baldoni’s camp release the website as claimed, it will “presumably not include” communications that Freedman and Baldoni have had with media sources, meaning it will be “incomplete, biased, and prejudicial by design.”

He also said Freedman’s “efforts to spin” Lively’s request for a gag order as an attempt to silence them out of fear is a bid to “impugn” her character.

However, insiders told the Daily Mail that the website would promote transparency in the case and denied it would contain selective material.

“There is nothing that will be selective on the website. The aim here is to do the exact opposite of what they did – to not be selective, to not cherry pick, and to not doctor text messages which they did when they gave them to the New York Times,” the source shared.

It comes after lawyers for Baldoni released raw footage of the alleged sexual harassment that seemingly disputed Lively’s claim.

The “Gossip Girl” star initially filed a 10-page complaint against Baldoni before following up with a sexual harassment lawsuit, alleging that he dragged his lips down her neck and said her tan “smells good.”

She claimed nobody overheard their chatter as the romantic montage was silent, and their microphones were switched off.

However, three-part footage of the recording showed that Baldoni’s microphone wasn’t switched off, and their conversation has raised questions about Lively’s claims.

In the clip, both co-stars seemed friendly with each other while talking about the scene.

However, just around the seven-minute mark, Baldoni told Lively that she smelled good, but it was only in response to her quip about her spray tan.

Although he nuzzled Lively’s neck in the romantic scene, Baldoni told her he was probably getting his beard on her, and she responded by saying she was probably getting a spray tan on him.

Then he quips back, “It smells good,” before both laugh, and she tells him the scent actually comes from her body makeup.

Meanwhile, a source has revealed that the couple will soon be subpoenaed to produce all communication about Baldoni and “It Ends With Us.”

The insider noted that the pair would “imminently” be subpoenaed for all the conversations they shared, meaning they’d have to produce emails, text messages, and any other forms of communication that may be deemed relevant to the case.

Lively and Reynolds, alongside their publicist Leslie Sloane, are also being hit with a deposition, which will see them ordered to provide hours of testimony and be quizzed by Baldoni’s lawyers.

“Unequivocally yes, all parties should be aware that they will be subpoenaed and deposed imminently,” the insider told the news outlet.
